Just a quick blog to update any readers new to the website. We are back home in Virginia from a two year stay in Oahu, Hawaii. Oahu was an amazing time. The images of fauna and flora that I was able to achieve will be memories for a lifetime! I was able to swim with sharks, sea turtles, so many reef fish, manta rays, moray eels, monk seals and spinner dolphins. I have watched many of the migratory hump-back whales breach and play. The birds were not as varietal as in the main land but I was able to see the Laysan Albatross, Wedge-tailed shearwater, Tropicbirds, White tern, Iiwi, Apapane, Amakihi, Elepaio, Pueo, and the Nene which are all Hawaiian endangered species. I was able to watch and photograph the most amazing athletes surf the craziest North Shore waves that I have ever seen. The majestic volcanic cliffs and the warm blue vibrant waters will be missed. My time in Hawaii will be treasured not only for the wildlife and landscape but for the learning experiences that have made me a better photographer, a more aware conservationist, and a healthier human being. Mahalo Nui Loa Oahu, for changing my life for the better.

Very nice consolidation of 24 months of Hawaii experience and photography!
